- Tenno, the laboratory door opened onto the year 1999. Warframe 1999 hurls you into the dying days of the last millennium — a city called Höllvania, a plague called the Techrot, and a squad of survivors called the Hex. It is the newest chapter of Arc 4 — The Void War Saga, and one of the most content-dense updates in years.

1. The Quest — The Hex
- Unlocks after completing The Duviri Paradox and The Lotus Eaters, then speaking with Loid in the Sanctum Anatomica.
- Warframe 1999 launched on December 13, 2024 as Update 38. It is a full-length cinematic quest with a string of framerate-worthy reveals — go in spoiler-blind if you can.
- Rewards: Cyte-09 blueprint, the Magnetic Might mod, Forma, your own custom Atomicycle and its Summon gear item, access to the Hex syndicate and Höllvania, the Protokol Longsword skin, a Hex Noggle collection and more.

2. The Hex — New Syndicate
- Protoframes — the year-1999 predecessors of your Warframes — who trust no Tenno at first. Rank them up through daily standing earned in Höllvania missions.
- Arthur Nightingale (Excalibur, the leader) · Aoi Morohoshi (Mag, second-in-command) · Amir Beckett (Volt) · Quincy Isaacs (Cyte-09) · Leticia "Lettie" Garcia (Trinity) · Eleanor Nightingale (Nyx, Arthur's sister).
- Ranks: Neutral → 1 Leftovers → 2 Fresh Slice → 3 2-For-1 → 4 Hot & Fresh → 5 Pizza Party. Rank 4 requires finishing the Finale and being Liked by everyone; the final rank asks for Close chemistry.
- At Rank 4 you can invite new members to the Backroom: Flare Varleon, Velimir Volkov II, Minerva Hendricks, and Kaya Velasco.
- KIM — the Kim instant-messaging app — lets you chat with each Hex member between missions. Build chemistry to advance your friendships and their story arcs (Liked, Trusted, Close).

3. Höllvania — The Year-1999 Mission Set
- Ten nodes: the Central Mall and Backroom social hubs plus eight missions — Exterminate (x2), Hell-Scrub (x2), the H-09 Efervon Tank Assassination, Legacyte Harvest, and Faceoff (x2).
- Enemies sit around Level 65–70 normally and 165–170 on Steel Path.
- Techrot — the growing Infested-like corruption swallowing Höllvania — that can absorb civilians and Old War hardware.
- Technocyte Coda — the Coda versions of Infested weapons, obtained through the Lich-style Coda system introduced with Techrot Encore (March 2025).

4. New Systems
- 1999 Calendar — a seasonal in-game calendar with daily/weekly activities, seasonal fights, Shard sources and V-shaped challenges.
- Atomicycle — a deployable hover-motorcycle, moddable and with equippable skins (including the Rust Belt and Standard Liveries from the quest).
- Temporal Archimedea — a rotating, deeply modded high-end mission series for the very brave.
