1. What Are Archon Shards?
- Archon Shards are permanent upgrade items obtained from Archons.
- They are used by the Helminth to further enhance Warframes.
- Each Archon Shard grants specific buffs based on its type and color.
2. Types of Archon Shards
As of the Whispers in the Walls expansion, there are six types of Archon Shards:
- 1. Crimson Archon Shard:
Upgrades ability stats and weapon stats (e.g., melee critical damage, ability strength, or duration).
- 2. Amber Archon Shard:
Upgrades utility stats (e.g., ability cast speed, parkour velocity, or pickup effectiveness).
- 3. Azure Archon Shard:
Upgrades Warframe survivability stats (e.g., shield capacity, health, or energy).
- 4. Topaz Archon Shard:
Offers buffs related to Blast damage and status, Heat damage, and Radiation status.
5. Violet Archon Shard (Crimson + Azure):
Offers buffs related to Electricity damage and status, melee critical damage, and energy/health conversion.
6. Emerald Archon Shard (Amber + Azure):
Offers damage bonuses for Toxin and Corrosive damage types.
3. Acquisition>
- Archon Shards are awarded from Archon Hunts:
- Crimson from Archon Amar.
- Amber from Archon Nira.
- Azure from Archon Boreal.
- The Shard has an 80% chance of being a normal variant and a 20% chance of being a Tauforged variant (which has higher stat bonuses).
- If a normal variant is awarded, the chance of receiving a Tauforged increases by 20%, resetting upon earning one.
4. Coalescent Fusion and Usage
- Use the Helminth’s Coalescent Fusion to embed Archon Shards into your Warframe
- Enjoy the defensive, offensive, or utility benefits they provide.
