1. Basics of Eidolon Hunting:
- Eidolons spawn only during nighttime on the Plains of Eidolon (Earth).
- There are three types of Eidolons
- 1.Teralyst Aka Terry:The smallest and easiest to defeat.
- 2.Gantulyst Aka Garry:A mid-sized Eidolon with more complex mechanics.
- 3.Hydrolyst Aka Harry:The largest and most challenging Eidolon.
- Eidolons drop valuable resources, including Sentient Cores, Eidolon Shards, and Arcanes.
2. Preparing for Eidolon Hunts:
Before you venture out to hunt Eidolons, make sure you’ve done the following:
a. Unlock Your Operator Form:
- You need access to your Operator form to fight Eidolons
- Complete the War Within quest to unlock your Operator abilities.
b. Obtain Lures:
- Lures are essential for capturing Eidolons.
- Equip yourself with charged Lures (each charged with 3 Vomvalysts) before starting the hunt.
c. Mod for Radiation Damage:
- Eidolons are immune to all status effects except Void.
- Mod your weapons for Radiation damage to deal maximum damage to Eidolons.
3. Taming the Teralyst:
The Teralyst is the entry-level Eidolon. Follow these steps to take it down:
Step 1: Prep Work
Find It!
- The Teralyst spawns from a random inland lake accompanied by a giant pillar of light.
- Look for the light pillar to locate it.
b. Obtain Lures:
- Lures are essential for capturing Eidolons.
- Equip yourself with charged Lures (each charged with 3 Vomvalysts) before starting the hunt.
c. Mod for Radiation Damage:
- Eidolons are immune to all status effects except Void.
- Mod your weapons for Radiation damage to deal maximum damage to Eidolons.
Step 2: Engage the Teralyst
Damage Its Shields:
- Use your Operator’s Void Beam to remove its shields.
- Shoot the glowing weak points on its limbs to deal damage.
Destroy Its Synovias:
- The Teralyst has four Synovias (glowing nodes) on its limbs..
- Destroy these nodes to weaken the Teralyst.
Capture or Kill:
- You can either kill the Teralyst for loot or capture it for bonus rewards.
- To capture, use charged Lures to immobilize it.
4. Scaling Up: Gantulyst and Hydrolyst:
- Once you’re comfortable with Teralysts, progress to Gantulysts and Hydrolysts.
- These Eidolons have additional mechanics and require more coordination.
